The Food Security Wars were the agricultural face of the late collapse. As maintenance debt, climate instability, and corridor militarization intensified, food autonomy became one of the few forms of power that neither media control nor heavy weapons could fully replace. That made Aya-linked farms and agricultural logistics networks impossible to ignore.
The wars were fought through water interdiction, seed sabotage, crop raids, convoy escorts, and punitive seizures rather than through one continuous front. Zhestokost tried repeatedly to subordinate autonomous food systems to command planning. Aya and allied agronomists learned to defend greenhouses as if they were cities.
The result was not peace but a deeper understanding, across Sol, that agriculture was strategic infrastructure rather than pastoral backdrop.
