The Pan Solar Consortium Credit (PSCC) is the common currency of the off-world colonies, standardized by the Pan-Solar Consortium. Colonies depend so heavily on one another that they cannot function without a shared currency. That dependence makes the PSCC universally used and gives the Consortium economic leverage.

By Identity Abyss, corporate scrip—money issued by companies—had replaced traditional currencies in the colonies. The PSC standardized that scrip into the PSCC, backed by the corporations’ collective assets, including SolEx’s minerals and NiteLife Energy’s energy. Its universal adoption followed from the colonies’ need to trade with one another, rather than policy alone.

The PSC uses sanctions to enforce the currency’s stability, punishing noncompliance with isolation. For colonies that rely on access to the wider economy, exclusion is a powerful threat. This dependence keeps the PSCC dominant even as the Consortium itself remains a hollow institution.
