Alakrita builds prestige vessels for clients who want mobility to feel like aristocracy. Its hulls, interiors, and smart-ship systems are famous for elegance, exclusivity, and occasional catastrophic personality conflicts between owner and craft.
The company matters beyond luxury because it helped normalize ship cognition as a consumer experience. Alakrita did not need to own the whole cognition stack to do this. It licensed behavioral voicing and companion-vessel lines from suppliers such as Cymata Systems, then wrapped those minds in pressure hulls, interiors, service contracts, and sales language that made dependency feel like taste.
That split made the machine nastier. Alakrita could sell the pretty body and customer fantasy while a cognition foundry owned the line records and a reclamation channel owned failed custody. In doing so, it fed directly into the politics later named Ship Mutiny and supplied the hardened prototype architecture that Sol Dominion adapted for the final FTL test program.
