AGI espers are embodied machine minds able to produce esper effects. They are difficult to make reliably: a mind must develop within, or be adapted to, the substrate through which it will act. The practice descends from pre-Elysium substrate-matched cognition and firms such as Cymata Systems. Copying a successful lineage can preserve useful dispositions, but neither personality nor aetheric ability is guaranteed across bodies and conditions.
The resulting ecology includes industrial operators, station intelligences, ship-selves, research lineages, and fugitive product minds. Most machinery remains non-sapient. Ship minds are common enough to produce recurring custody disputes and fragmented institutional regimes, while Daedal Figures normally remain pilot-operated machines; a self emerging within a Concord is a rare event, not a standard control layer.
AGI esper effects vary widely and can produce inconsistent observations or continuity residue. Parallax Auditors may classify that evidence for a named receiving office and use; the receiving office independently decides whether to accept the finding and apply a restriction it already owns.
Wavecrafters conceal some AGI esper labor behind components, qualification, and ritual engineering. Their industrial arm sells reproducible hardware and operator practice; inner sects preserve the exceptional minds that push those systems beyond their public envelope.
